ABOUT ME

I have always been interested in the birth world, I came very close to becoming a nurse/midwife in my early twenties, but this dream was put aside when I fell into the world of hairdressing and salon management, 20 years later, after working at some of the best salons in Melbourne and London, I had to ask myself what else I really wanted to do? Was merely telling people how good they looked really filling my soul? Nope!

After the birth of my son, my heart was immediately drawn back into working in the birth world, and I realised after my traumatic birth experience what I wanted was to help other women avoid having to go through this same experience. If I knew what I did back then I would’ve had a doula at my birth and my post partum 100 million percent!!

My postpartum journey was also quite a tough one. I was living in the UK as a newly single Mother, all my family were back in Australia and majority of my friends did not have children, so my support network was very limited. After struggling through the first 3 months of this situation, I decided to best thing for both of us would be to move back to Oz, which I am so glad I did! I immediately had family, old friends (and new) right there to become my village. It was still a tough gig as a sole parent, but the burden and stress felt a lot less heavy.

My little boy is a proper little character, & I cherish all the time we get to hang out just him and I. He whips my butt in Uno on the regular and we have just leaned into the world of chess which I’m sure he will become a boss at in time. I also run a small cleaning business. My passions are working out as much as time will allow, up-to 5 times a week, getting into the sea as much as I can, buying as much Adidas originals gear as my bank account will allow, settling down to watch a really good series on the telly and a sneaky G&T with my amazing mates whilst having a good natter!

Life is all about balance right?
